On the occasion of the Open World Forum 2014, Abilian, an open source solutions provider serving the competitiveness of companies, announces the launch of the marketing of its offering dedicated to clusters and competitiveness clusters: Abilian SICS-PC (Secure Collaborative Information System for Competitiveness Clusters).

Based on the open source software base developed by the company, which covers customer relationship management in the broad sense (CRM / xRM) and enterprise information management (EIM), including enterprise search, collaboration and enterprise social network functions, this business solution covers most of the needs of players involved in supporting competitiveness and innovation in the regions:

  • Management, archiving and analysis of all the business information specific to clusters: members and partners, contacts, projects, actions to support development, etc;
  • Business processes: membership process, project approval process, public directory of members and projects, long-term monitoring of the economic impact of projects, ecosystem management, etc;
  • Exchanging information with and between members (newsletters, forums, social networks, questionnaires, etc.);
  • Collaborative working (document sharing, wikis, etc.).

The solution thus implements a set of best practices identified by the first users of the solution, but it can also be easily adapted to the specific information gathering and management processes of each customer.

Abilian SICS-PC has been in production for over a year at the Pôle Systematic Paris-Région, and is currently being rolled out to a number of other organisations. Abilian develops the software base, works with its customers to configure or extend it according to their needs, and provides maintenance and access to functional upgrades through an annual subscription formula that is similar to a 'user club', and which also reflects the co-creation approach to which Abilian is committed with its customers.

Abilian plans to step up the marketing of its offering in 2015, in particular by opening up a network of partners.
